1

Clean the Mounting Area

Wipe down the underbelly area above your tires to remove road grime and debris. A clean surface ensures the best screw bite.

💡 A quick wipe with a damp rag is all you need — no solvents or prep chemicals required.
2

Position the Panel

Hold or clamp the Titan Shield panel against your RV's underbelly, centered above the tire(s). Ensure the panel covers the area most vulnerable to blowout debris.

💡 Having a second person hold the panel makes this easier, but it's doable solo with a couple of clamps.
3

Check for Obstructions

Look for center supports, crossmembers, wiring, or plumbing that may be in the way. If a support runs through the panel area, mark and notch the panel with a jigsaw or oscillating tool.

💡 Take a photo of the underside before you start — it helps with planning your panel placement.
4

Drive the Screws

Using the included stainless steel self-tapping screws, secure the panel to the underbelly frame. Start with the corners, then add screws every 8–10 inches along the edges.

💡 Don't overtighten — snug is enough. The Curv® material will flex and absorb impact better when not over-compressed.
5

Verify & Hit the Road

Give each screw a final check, ensure the panel is seated firmly with no rattles, and you're done. Repeat for each wheel position as needed.

💡 After your first drive, do a quick visual check to confirm everything stayed tight.

Titan Shield Questions

Product & Fitment

Titan Shield is designed for most towable RVs — travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, and pop-up campers. We offer kits for single axle, tandem axle, and triple axle configurations. While kits are designed to work with most RV's, some trimming may be required to fit your model.

Yes. Titan Shield's composite material can be notched on-site with a jigsaw or multi-tool to fit around center supports, crossmembers, or other obstructions. The remaining panel area still provides full blowout containment.

Single Axle : One 13.25" × 42" panel — covers one wheel well (two provided).
Tandem Axle: Two 13.25" × 42" panels — cover the span between both wheels (four provided).
Tri Axle ($625): Three 13.25" × 42" panels — cover the span between all three axles (six provided)

Installation

Just a power drill or impact driver. All stainless steel self-tapping screws and a drill bit are included. If you need to notch around a center support, you'll also need a jigsaw or circular saw.

About 10 minutes per panel. A tandem axle setup takes roughly 10–15 minutes per side total including positioning and screw driving.

No. Titan Shield is designed as a true DIY product. If you can use a power drill, you can install Titan Shield. No welding, grinding, or cutting required (unless notching for a center support).

Material & Performance

Comparable impact protection at up to 70% less weight. Curv® won't rust, performs in extreme temperatures (-40°F to 300°F), and costs significantly less. Steel guards typically run $400–$1,400 per wheel and weigh 25–33 lbs each.

No. Curv® self-reinforced polypropylene is rated from -40°F to 300°F. It maintains its impact absorption and structural integrity across the full temperature range — summer highway heat and winter storage alike.

Yes. The Curv® composite in Titan Shield absorbs and distributes impact energy rather than transferring it. Originally developed for automotive and aerospace applications, it's engineered to contain high-velocity debris from tire failures and protect vulnerable underbelly systems.
